Ana Silvia Lopez Ixil is a Summit Scholarship recipient who is working on her Master’s Degree in Childhood and Adolescent Development at the Rafael Landívar University in Guatemala. Her professional experience includes working as a food security facilitator with a community group for mother of children under 3 years old. She has worked on SRH issue with a SIAS on family planning. As a graduate of the GOJoven program’s Training of Trainers Process, Ana Silvia has become increasingly comfortable in her role as an advocate and educator in her Maya Kakchiquel community, where SRH topics are often considered taboo and difficult to discuss. Ana Sylvia received a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2010.
