Ariadna Lorena Coello Martinez

foto de personasAriadna Lorena Coello Martínez is originally from Mexico City but has lived for over nine years in Cancún.  This young leader has her Bachelor’s in Psychology and became a GOJoven Fellow when she was 21 years old.  From 2004 to 2009, Ariadna worked with an organization called Sexuality and Health Service Education (SEEDSSA) in education around sexuality, gender perspectives, violence, and promotion of sexual and reproductive rights. During this period, she collaborated on a SEEDSSA project funded by the Summit Foundation called, “Comprehensive Social Center for the Sexuality of Adolescents and Youth (CHISPAS)” in Cancún, where she supported the development, implementation, and monitoring of diverse projects related to the sexual and reproductive preventative health of adolescents and youth.  In this center, she served as an educator, speaker, and spokes-person for sexual and reproductive rights.  Currently, Adriana is in a Master’s program in Education, and studies different teaching-learning theories to engage youth as agents of change.  She is collaborating with different educational institutions to generate interest among professors and students to apply these theories to change attitudes and behavior in SSR among youth.
