Virgen Bermudez

Virgen Bermudez is a vibrant 27 year old, who has been teaching Spanish at the Delille Academy, an alternative school for at-risk students, for the past six years. Her school gives drop out students to acquire a high school diploma.
Virgen is pursuing of a Bachelors Degree in Spanish Education at the University of Belize and she is also a student of Garifuna language, which she teaches to youth in her community.
She was the coordinator of the “Little Sister’s Club”, at her school, which consists of forty girls who were trained on various topics and sexual reproductive health.Virgen considers herself a family oriented person and a strong role model for the girls in her community.
