Albo is originally from San Felipe, La Antigua Guatemala and was selected as a GOJoven fellow when he was 18 years old. He belongs to the Indigenous Development Association Yepocapa, an association that advocates for the integral development of the municipality of San Pedro Yepocapa, Chimaltenango. Within the association, Albo has led trainings for community authorities, entrepreneurship programs, and information on rights.
Albo graduated from the Intercultural Institute of Santiago with a bachelor’s degree in Science and Letters with Computer Orientation, and is currently in his second semester studying law at la Universidad de San Carlos, Guatemala. He has experience as a facilitator in the camp for girls, Weaving Voices, and has volunteered at the Observatory of Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health in Guatemala (OSAR). Albo strives to utilize his leadership as tool to mobilize solutions on issues regarding sexual health.
